Robert H. Foster is a client advisor and trial attorney in Estes Park, Colorado with a specialty in expert witnesses and forensic science. In his work for the US Department of Justice, he both prosecuted and defended a wide range of nationally precedential environmental matters in court. In private practice, his litigation cases ranged from salvage logging to veterinary law and evidence. In addition, Mr. Foster has over ten years’ experience teaching as an adjunct at the Department of Justice’s National Advocacy Center, training Assistant United States Attorneys in courtroom skills and medical professionals to be witnesses in health care fraud trials.
Mr. Foster is a principal in Robert H. Foster, LLC. He works with private clients and consults on expert evidence and forensic science. Mr. Foster received his B.A. in chemistry from Reed College in Portland, Oregon, his Ph.D. in organic chemistry from the University of Illinois in Urbana-Champaign, and his J.D. from the University of Oregon. In addition to his law practice, Mr. Foster does pro bono criminal defense, and is a frequent CLE presenter and contributor. He is an avid hiker, forensic photographer, guide dog puppy raiser, and licensed amateur radio operator (KDØQBQ).
